Advocacy

Family SupportSt. Anna’s Residential Care Facility encourages clients and potential clients to allocate and use an advocate of their choice to ensure that their needs are met.

An Advocate is an individual or group who speaks out on behalf of a client and protects and promotes their rights and their interests.

An Advocate may be a carer, family, a friend or neighbour or someone from an advocacy service, the Public Guardian or other appropriate government departments.

For Home Care Packages clients, refer to Standard 3.4 Advocacy & 3.5 Independence in the Community Care Common Standards.
