Permanent Residential Care

Our facility is staffed by experienced and qualified personnel who are available 24 hours a day.  Individual care plans are created for each resident, tailored to change as residents needs change. The individual needs of each resident are the focus of care, especially, where possible, maintaining the resident’s prior lifestyle and contact with their community.

Therapy services are also provided, along with social activities, developed to enhance residents’ lifestyle and assist in maintaining independence.  Residents are free to chose how their day is spent, all activities and events are offered, but participation is up to the individual.

Care is provided for people with varying needs. Many residents are still able to function independently in many areas, but may have limited mobility or be in need of greater access to personal and nursing care, no longer able to cope independently within their own home environment.  While other people may require a higher level of complex care and/or have specialised needs for example; continence or wound care or medication management.

All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, built-in robes and cupboards, emergency call system, individual heating/cooling system and basic furniture fittings. Lounge/TV rooms, communal dining/kitchenette areas and outdoor garden areas are provided throughout the facility, and always accessible, along with coffee and tea making facilities and public pay phone. Residents are free to decorate their room with personal items such as small pieces of furniture, photos, wall hangings, ornaments, mirrors and decorative items, along with approved electrical items.  Electrical items must be tagged and tested at St Anna’s prior to use.  Before moving items into St Anna’s discussion with C.E.O. or delegate is required, to determine what would be suitable and comply with Work Health and Safety and Fire Regulations.  Privacy is observed at all times.
