We care about our carers

St Anna’s is a place with a heart and working within the aged care sector here can be very rewarding, both personally and professionally.

Various skills and experience are generally needed to work at St. Anna’s. To work as a carer, a Certificate III in Aged Care is the standard entry qualification. This will introduce you to all aspects of a carer’s role including personal care, resident well-being and assistance with daily activities.

Both a current First Aid Certificate and current Police Clearance (Age Care Specific) is essential, and employment will not be possible without both of these qualifications.

Multi-lingual capability is highly regarded, but not a requirement.

Employment opportunities may include:

  • Registered Nurses
  • Enrolled Nurses
  • Care Workers within the Facility
  • Care Workers within the Community
  • Lifestyle Personnel
  • Administration Personnel
  • Domestic and Kitchen Staff

What St. Anna’s can offer employees

In return, we can offer you the opportunity to work with wonderful staff and residents.

You will gain personal gratification formed by the interaction with residents and other team members. Being a not-for-profit organisation, staff are entitled to salary packaging which allows you to pay your bills before tax, which can save you thousands each year. This is fully approved by the Australian Taxation Office.

We also provide a Meal Entertainment card which allows you to enjoy meals and entertainment in your own time, and once again paid for before tax. On a professional level we offer further education and professional development.
