St Anna’s is deeply committed to supporting individuals in living the life they choose, including respecting their preferences for navigating their end-of-life journey. This commitment encompasses the right to personal choice and includes providing best practice in Palliative Care and support for those wishing to explore Voluntary Assisted Dying (VAD) options.

At St Anna’s, we ensure that residents and their families have access to information about VAD legislation, including relevant contact details, upon request. Our primary focus remains on delivering exceptional palliative care, enabling our residents to approach the end of life with comfort and dignity. Quality palliative care integrates spiritual, clinical, and other support services tailored to the needs and preferences of our residents, as identified by them, their families, and our staff throughout their end-of-life journey.

While St Anna’s fully supports the rights of residents who choose to access VAD legislation, we will not manage, administer, or dispose of the VAD substance. Our role is to honour the choices of our residents with compassion and respect, ensuring they receive the highest level of care and support throughout this deeply personal process

You can contact us for more information on VAD.
